Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
Full-Time (average of 40 hours/week), Monday – Friday between 8:00AM – 4:30PM. No weekends, holidays, evenings, or call. Outpatient role (clinic-based).
About the role
Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute – Vascular Surgery Team! Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results.
- Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions.
- Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures.
- Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting.
- Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.
- Demonstrates evidence-based practice.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty.
- Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum.
- Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health.
- Provides comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribes treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
- Promotes wellness and prevents illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities.
- Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants.
- Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals.
- Supports the strategic plan of the organization.
- Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required.
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
- Completion of master’s level program in specialty area.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
Qualifications
- Prior APN/PA experience preferred.
- Experience in cardiology highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cardiology or vascular surgery.

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $57.79 - $79.76. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
