Duties

  • Practice medicine with the right people, for the right reasons.
  • Care for each patient like a member of our own family.
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity.
  • Establish preventive health practices for patients.

Qualifications

Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
  • Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • CNOR Certification required.
  • BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
  • Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
  • Eligible new graduates will be considered.

Physician Assistant Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
  • Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
  • BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
  • Emergency Medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
  • Eligible new graduates will be considered.

The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 100 full-time members across diverse practice sites.
