Advanced Practice Practitioner (Part-time)

About the role

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC), Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for a part-time (20 hours/week) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to perform hospital rounding. Taking care of cancer patients is a calling—more than just a job. Responsibilities

• Perform pertinent patient examinations and clinical evaluations.
• Manage clinical care, including ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies.
• Order and monitor medications.
• Participate in short-term and long-term planning of patient care alongside the physician team.
• Round at North Suburban and St. Anthony North hospitals.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
• 3-5 years of experience in either inpatient or ambulatory oncology.
• RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• AOCNP certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.

Physician Assistant:

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
• At least one year of experience in critical care, internal medicine, or oncology.
• Current state license as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.

Skills

• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in moving, and push wheelchairs.
• Standing and walking for extensive periods.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.

Work Environment

• Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations common in an oncology/hematology clinic.

Pay

Salary range: $55.00–$67.00 per hour. Pay is based on factors including education, work experience, and certification.

Schedule

Part-time, 20 hours per week.
