Job Summary

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) position at St. Elizabeth Healthcare involves providing care and treatment to patients under the auspices of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibilities include patient assessment, initiation and evaluation of diagnostic testing, documentation of physical findings, and formulation of treatment plan and prognosis based on patient's medical condition. The APRN also functions as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration between various disciplines and agencies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing with National Nurse Practitioner Certification in appropriate specialty area
  • Licensed as an RN in the state where work is being performed
  • Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician to practice as a nurse practitioner
  • Must have medical staff privileges as an allied health professional
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
