Key Responsibilities
- Follow-up patient visits (evaluation and treatment) with physician collaboration when appropriate
- New patient visits (evaluation and treatment) with physician collaboration when appropriate
- Care coordination for follow-up patients as needed (laboratory studies, procedures, follow-up calls and orders, etc.)
- Outpatient telemetry analysis
- Tilt table test interpretation
- Programming and monitoring devices
- Inpatient rounding on the EP consult and cardiology consult services
- Pre and post-procedural care
- Performing cardioversions and loop recorder implants
Qualifications
- State of Colorado Certified Physician Assistant or Inclusion on the State of Colorado Advanced Practice Registry as an Advance Practice Nurse
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- 3-5 years of experience in the clinical management of complex cardiology patients
- Prior work history in a combined inpatient and outpatient setting with knowledge of cardiac procedures
- Experience in the management of electrophysiology patients is desired but not required
- Experience working independently as an advanced practice provider
- Cardiology experience is preferred
- ACLS Certified
