Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP)/Cardiology/ Electrophysiology

Key Responsibilities

• Follow-up patient visits (evaluation and treatment) with physician collaboration when appropriate
• New patient visits (evaluation and treatment) with physician collaboration when appropriate
• Care coordination for follow-up patients as needed (laboratory studies, procedures, follow-up calls and orders, etc.)
• Outpatient telemetry analysis
• Tilt table test interpretation
• Programming and monitoring devices
• Inpatient rounding on the EP consult and cardiology consult services
• Pre and post-procedural care
• Performing cardioversions and loop recorder implants

Qualifications

• State of Colorado Certified Physician Assistant or Inclusion on the State of Colorado Advanced Practice Registry as an Advance Practice Nurse
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
• 3-5 years of experience in the clinical management of complex cardiology patients
• Prior work history in a combined inpatient and outpatient setting with knowledge of cardiac procedures
• Experience in the management of electrophysiology patients is desired but not required
• Experience working independently as an advanced practice provider
• Cardiology experience is preferred
• ACLS Certified
