Job Summary

CoxHealth South is seeking an Advanced Practice Paramedic to provide detailed in-home evaluations, develop comprehensive care plans, and improve health outcomes for patients.

About the Role

The Advanced Practice Paramedic works closely with primary care physicians, EMS medical directors, and EMS administrative directors to enhance patient care and reduce healthcare costs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed in-home evaluations of patient needs
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on patient needs
• Provide advanced level of care including evaluation, assessment, testing, and treatments
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, EMS medical directors, and EMS administrative directors to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years’ experience as a field medic
• Licensed EMT-P or E.M.T. - CP with Community Paramedicine Endorsement and a valid Missouri driver’s license
• MO Community Paramedic Certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Technical writing skills
• Critical thinking skills

• Advanced knowledge base
• Ability to diagnose and provide care for a broad range of medical conditions
