Advanced Practice Nurse - Cytodiagnostic Center - Per Diem
Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Nurse is an expert clinician and patient advocate in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing practice. The Advanced Practice Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice which includes breast health, breast diseases and breast malignancies, according to established joint nursing/medical protocols. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advanced Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advanced Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.
