Advanced Practice (APP) Fellow- Surgical/OR

About the role

The Surgical/OR Fellowship offers enterprise-wide rotation opportunities designed to develop advanced clinical and technical proficiency in the care of surgical patients. Fellows gain experience across oncologic and non-oncologic surgical-focused settings, including operative environments. Rotations may include specialty areas within the Department of Surgery, such as plastic surgery, surgical oncology, general gastrointestinal surgery, cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery. These rotations strengthen procedural competency and promote multidisciplinary collaboration across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

  • Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio; OR eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a physician assistant
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing; OR graduation from an accredited physician assistant program
  • Masters degree in Nursing; OR Masters degree
  • National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant certification (for PA applicants)
  • For the Surgical/OR Track: hold an RNFA certification with an Acute Care APRN certification OR hold PA-C licensure
