About the role

The Advanced Phase Program Manager leads the convergence of Perceived Quality & Dimensional Synthesis, applying technical standards and methodologies related to Appearance (Gaps & Flush nominal and tolerances) to achieve quality targets. This role covers all vehicle programs (Top Hats), including the 1st launcher and future reskins/derivatives, from program inception through handover to execution teams. The position is responsible for budget (manpower and dedicated means) and planning alignment with the program, leading a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional peers to ensure vehicle performance convergence.

Responsibilities

  • Program Team Management: Manage, validate, and escalate issues and proposed actions for all Program Top Hats until handover to the project-dedicated team.
  • Perceived Quality (PQ) Management:
    • Identify PQ improvement needs and risks to validate project targets and concepts.
    • Manage gaps, flush, and convergence with styling and technical partners.
    • Evaluate design complexity and validate with the program.
  • Technical Standards: Ensure adherence to technical standards in collaboration with Styling, Architecture, Product, Manufacturing Departments, and Suppliers.
  • Budget: Allocate headcount budget to meet departmental needs for all program activities.
  • Schedule: Define team activity timelines in compliance with the Program Schedule.
  • Technical Reviews: Organize and lead reviews to assess program status, escalations, and milestone achievements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dimensional Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of automotive development experience, preferably including body-in-white or equipment parts.
  • Ability to work effectively and manage direct/indirect reports across multiple disciplines.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-directed with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex engineering topics and deliver concise presentations.
  • Passion for vehicles, motorsports, and continuous innovation.
