Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Critical Care Nocturnist)

About the role

Oversees the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty.

Enacts standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specialty competencies.

Requires independent performance of ICU procedures and ICU stabilization and management.

Responsibilities

• Independent performance of ICU procedures
• ICU stabilization and management
• Shifts are 7P - 7A, 2080 hours per year
• In House independently with attending available by phone, attending would come in as needed
• Part of a full-time critical care team

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Three to five years of previous work related experience
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey Board of Nursing
• Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) within one year of hire

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Nursing
• Previous work related experience
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey Board of Nursing
• Completion of department specific orientation and certifications

Pay

Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.

Schedule

Shifts are 7P - 7A, 2080 hours per year
