Advanced Nuclear Lead Project Manager (U.S. Remote Eligible)

Essential Responsibilities

  • On-time project delivery
  • Profit & Lapse accountability
  • Customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
  • Aid Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
  • Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
  • Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
  • Support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures; promotes the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
  • Sustain and deploy project infrastructure and project tools
  • Ensure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicable
  • Coordinate project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
  • Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
  • Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
  • Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 2 years managing projects (nuclear preferred but any energy or other large scale projects)
  • Ability to travel 25% domestic and international

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM
  • Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
  • Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
  • Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
  • Demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Financial control knowledge and understanding
  • Demonstrated professional interpersonal and leadership skills, including high level of motivation, integrity, and self-confidence
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Strong process orientation in approach to work
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Six Sigma Training (BB, DFSS, etc.) (GE Employees only)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
