Job Description

EPC is responsible for the integrated master schedules for three multi-billion dollar major construction projects (MCPs): the Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project, Naval Examination Acquisition Project, Interim Irradiations Examination Project. These projects are in various stages of design and construction, providing opportunities to grow and broaden your skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and setting of performance metrics for scope, cost, and schedule
  • Actively managing scope, cost, and schedule through project management processes
  • Track, provide projections, and report on metrics to the organization and management
  • Take appropriate actions with stakeholders to correct baseline variances
  • Perform reviews of project management and EVMS procedures and plans
  • Actively review and manage project management tools to ensure risks and opportunities, open items, and problem assessments are being tracked
  • Actively support continuous improvements within the organization, aligned with project documents and priorities
  • Determining knowledge gaps for the project team and implementing plans to resolve identified issues
  • Foster and improve the project management culture
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Specific Responsibilities

  • Defining scope and work breakdown structures
  • Developing and providing oversight of cost estimates and resource loaded schedules
  • Evaluating and completing change requests to support change control
  • Interpreting EVMS metrics to ensure scope, schedule, and cost are achieved
  • Identifying project risks, opportunities, and open items
  • Interfacing with and integrating the efforts of stakeholders
  • Support personnel and management to ensure project objectives are achieved

Requirements

  • Absolutely must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Or a Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field
  • Currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing up-front plans
  • Experience using change control
  • Knowledge of workforce and budget profiles

Pay Range

$86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Qualifications

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.

Skills

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707. Marijuana is a Federal Schedule I controlled substance and illegal under Federal Law. Therefore, FMP is required to test for marijuana.
