Progress West Hospital, opened in 2007, is BJC HealthCare’s newest hospital in St. Charles County, featuring modern private rooms. It offers 24-hour emergency services and has partnered with St. Louis Children’s Hospital to provide world-class pediatric emergency care. The hospital provides surgical services, endoscopy services, a cardiac catheterization lab, medical/surgical inpatient services, diagnostic imaging, lab services, and the Advanced Wound Center. Progress West Hospital is a Certified Level II Stroke Center and recently expanded its Childbirth Center to include enhanced services for at-risk mothers and babies, with a newborn ICU that provides care for babies born as early as 32 weeks.
The Imaging Services Department is a full-service department, providing comprehensive imaging support, including:
- General X-ray
- Fluoroscopy
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasound
- Mammography
- Diagnostic Mammograms and Ultrasound
- Nuclear Medicine
About the Role
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate or Trade School equivalent
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Less than 2 years preferred
- Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Intravenous Therapy
- Strong preference for surgery and fluoro experience
Schedule
- 40 Hours Per Week
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Call Rotation Required: Every 5th full week & Every 5th Friday
- Holiday Rotation Required: 2-3 per year
Pay
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 (for eligible applicants)
