Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments.
- Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Cook up referrals, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Process medical records, correspondence, and other administrative documentation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Administration, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient clinic, or healthcare setting.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical scheduling software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
