Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Cook up referrals, consultations, and follow-up appointments.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Process medical records, correspondence, and other administrative documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • An Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient clinic, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical scheduling software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are encouraged to apply.
  • The ability to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including background screening, credential verification, and drug screening, if applicable.
