Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
About the role
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will lead and oversee multiple projects on Switchgear Power BU, focusing on Anderson Operations leading product transfers, new product introduction programs, process improvements, and capital projects to support growth for the target sites and the standardization of manufacturing processes across Vertiv plants.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
- Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated.
- Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program.
- Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
- Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices.
- Support the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process.
- Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT.
- Actively intervene in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition.
- Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
- Aid in business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
Qualifications
- Minimum BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 3-5 years manufacturing experience or equivalent.
- PREFERRED: MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
- Extensive experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.
- Excellent vertical communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train, facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
- Demonstrated strong project management and technical skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team building and teamwork.
