Advanced Manufacture and Repair Technician

About the role

As an Advanced Manufacture and Repair Technician, you will manufacture and repair parts for aircraft, vehicles, and specialist equipment, working in specially equipped workshops and aircraft maintenance hangars.

Your duties will include working in a specially-equipped workshop to make and repair components for aircraft, specialist equipment, and vehicles, using manual and computer-operated machinery like drilling, milling, cutting, and forming equipment, and manufacturing or modifying aircraft parts to strict standards.

You will also consult with Aircraft Technicians on the best methods of component removal and fitting.

Requirements

• Be aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday)
• GCSE grade C/4 or Scottish National 5 grade C in English language, Mathematics, and an approved Science/Technology-based subject
• Meet specific Nationality and Residency criteria
• Commit to minimum 3 years post Phase Two Training
• Pass the Defence Aptitude Assessment
• Pass a Fitness test
