About the role

The Advanced IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology, assisting in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing critical support during complex medical procedures. This role also serves as a resource, superuser, and assists in training. A strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals is required to provide optimal care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology tools.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Provide critical support during complex medical procedures.
  • Serve as a resource and superuser for other team members.
  • Assist in training staff on advanced imaging techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: ARRT (R) or RCIS.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Schedule
