Advanced ILS Specialist

About the role

This position is for an Advanced ILS Specialist I for Intelligence Systems, supporting a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) providing integrated logistics support for unique mechanical and structural systems.

Our program offers the opportunity to see the development of technical solutions from concept level through use in operational environments, with extensive hands-on participation supporting engineers with a wide range of logistics, sustainment, and technical support tasks.

Responsibilities

As an Advanced ILS Specialist I, you will be working on small technical teams and coordinating with IPT Leads to complete assignments, and supporting engineers with a wide range of logistics, sustainment, and technical support tasks.

Program work products include specialized tools, structural systems, hardware components, assemblies, and prototypes supporting both technology development tasking and customer operations initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Qualifications

• Fully proficient knowledge of Acquisition Logistics and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements.
• Strong knowledge of military/commercial requirements/specifications.
• Knowledge of standard ILS concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred.
• Hands-on logistics and sustainment experience with an interest/ability in developing innovative solutions to unique problems is preferred.

Skills

• High attention to detail with the ability and flexibility to work in an often-dynamic environment.
• Ability to work under general supervision, alone, and/or with a team of project technicians and engineers.
• Background supporting mechanical and/or civil engineering projects with demonstrated proficiencies in the construction and fabrication of hardware prototypes and proof-of-concept mock-ups is helpful.
• Familiarity with building codes and engineering standards is a plus.
• Flexibility and willingness to work with multi-disciplined teams on a range of tasking, sometimes in new technology areas, outside the ranges of your expertise.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $105,235.00/Yr. - USD $110,991.00/Yr.

Actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors such as geographic location.

Schedule

This position is fully on-site due to the nature of program work and facility infrastructure.

Work will be performed at the GDMS facility in Herndon, Virginia.
