Advanced GenAI Engineer
About the role
As an Advanced AI Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of AI algorithms, models, and systems. You will act as the subject matter expert for technical AI projects and provide direction on exploring and implementing methodologies and best practices. This role impacts critical AI initiatives and drives technical excellence within the organization. You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. Relocation is not offered.
Responsibilities
- Work with AI engineers, product managers, and aerospace experts to understand requirements and develop AI applications that meet business needs.
- Perform research activities to identify state-of-the-art AI models and infrastructure tools for on-premises deployment, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Ideate and develop Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for internal applications, leveraging retrieval and generation techniques to drive innovation and improvement in AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing AI-related technology projects.
- Mastery expertise in machine learning or related artificially intelligent technology.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization).
Skills
- Experience with database operations, including data storage, retrieval, and management.
- Knowledge of embeddings and indexing techniques, including their applications in AI and machine learning.
- Familiarity with API calling and integration, including designing and implementing APIs for AI applications.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and their application in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for AI-powered systems.
- Experience with KPI collection and dashboard creation, including designing and implementing metrics to measure AI system performance and creating visualizations to communicate insights.
