Advanced EMT - Lincoln EMS - PRN - Shift Varies

Responsibilities

• Affirms nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
• Efficiently restores and stabilizes cardiac, pulselessness, non-breathing patients.
• Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and records patient's vital signs.
• Maintains good driving status and insurable driving status.
• Communicates with hospital/TCC personnel via HEMSI approved methods.
• Maintains up-to-date credentials and follows protocol changes.
• Documents patient care in all HEMSI approved reporting methods.
• Maintains safety and security procedures for vehicle and station.
• Maintains unit in constant readiness through supplies and equipment restocking.
• Cleans and performs minor maintenance on emergency vehicle.
• Maintains a clean and orderly vehicle and station.
• Assists in directing and coordinating additional personnel on scene, including volunteers.
• Faithfully reports to work and maintains acceptable attendance.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and family members.

Requirements

• State of Alabama EMSP License as EMT
• CPR Certification
• EVOC (once employed/promoted)
• Valid and current driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Required undergraduate EMT certificate
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: State of Alabama EMSP License as EMT, CPR Certification, EVOC
