About the role

The Advanced Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologist performs advanced diagnostic and invasive procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients alongside the care team and other medical staff. This role serves as a resource, superuser, and assists in orientation and training. It demands a strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, and advanced imaging technologies to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatments for patients with heart-related conditions. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Serve as a resource and superuser for the care team and medical staff.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff.
• Apply knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and sterile technique.
• Utilize advanced imaging technologies for accurate patient diagnoses and treatments.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completion of required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience.
• State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) or CCI (RCIS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of advanced protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
• Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
