Job Duties

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Assures the appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.

Oversees the distribution of medications throughout TJUH.

Supports implementation of processes to assure the quality of Pharmacy services.

Trains pharmacy technicians, residents, students, interns and new pharmacists as assigned.

Precepts student pharmacists AND residents as assigned. See Preceptor Development & Evaluation Program policy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • 1 year Completion of PGY2 Pharmacy Specialty Residency; OR Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency PLUS 2 years of relevant experience; OR Completion of no residency PLUS 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply pharmacokinetic principles for monitoring and dosing medications
  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania
