Advanced Case Technologist Mentor-California

Under supervision of the Manager of Advanced Clinical Training, Mentors conduct and communicate performance updates and assist with supplemental guidance and instruction. Duties are subject to change for development and refinement of the Advanced Clinical Training (ACT) Program. This role is secondary and does not replace primary tech duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and encourage IOM Technologists to advance their skills in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM).
• Facilitate teaching of medical knowledge, IOM theory, and physical skills under the guidance of the ACT Manager.
• Provide IOM Technologists with resources to become highly trained Advanced IOM Technologists.
• Develop relationships with technologists and clinical leaders to facilitate open communication and progress transparency.
• Partner with Territory Managers and the ACT Manager to develop strategic goals and expand Advanced Clinical Training initiatives.
• Contribute to the ACT Program by aiding in the development of MPOWERHealth University content, education strategies, and event logistics when not training.
• Provide case coverage as a top priority, dependent on territory and staffing needs.
• Travel for case training and coverage as an essential function of this role.
• Develop strong, productive relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and administration.
• Engage with surgeons and staff to obtain feedback on IOM Technologist progress and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• CNIM certification required.
• Required modality experience includes ABR and EEG.
• Experience with cranial nerve 5, 7, and 12 EMG monitoring preferred.
• Previous experience training individuals.
• Minimum of 2 years of IONM experience.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher (e.g., Masters, PhD, MD).
• Current AHA CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
