Advanced Care Provider (PA/NP) - Emergency Medicine - Seasonal Per Diem

About the role

This role involves providing emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in clinics and conducting home visits. The position requires supervision by an attending physician and is part of a growing organization offering seamless care.

Responsibilities

  • Performing medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan within the scope of emergency medicine.
  • Handling high-level medical conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supra ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, acute abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis, sepsis, complex pediatric and geriatric patients, advanced EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, joint reductions, and ocular ENT emergencies.
  • Conducting medical procedures including obtaining IV access, administering fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing POC testing, and performing EKGs.
  • Collaborating with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to support care delivery.
  • Assessing and treating Covid-related cases, including obtaining clinical samples, performing point of care testing, obtaining blood for antibody tests, providing general symptom management, and making recommendations.
  • Completing detailed clinical charting, including history of present illness, physical exams, differential diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Coordinating additional care with Care Coordination, house calls teams, or Medical Partners, and contributing to operational projects as needed.
  • Ensuring a comprehensive transfer of responsibility for pending labs or imaging to in-clinic providers at the end of each shift.
  • Performing related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, required.
  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required.
  • Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in Florida, required.
  • DEA license required upon hire.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire.
  • House call, EMS/pre-hospital, concierge experience a plus.

  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in systems like Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce, and Humanity.
  • Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and medication administration.
  • Able to adapt and work in a fluid, multitasking environment.
  • Strong process and organizational skills.
  • The ability to problem-solve and think creatively.
  • Comfortable interfacing with high-end clientele.
