About the role
This role involves providing emergency medical care and conducting home visits for Sollis Health patients under the supervision of an attending physician. It is a seasonal position from October to May, working part-time from 10 AM to 6 PM, 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Performing medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan within the scope of emergency medicine.
- Handling high-level medical conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supra ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, acute abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis, sepsis, and complex pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Conducting medical procedures including obtaining IV access, administering fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing POC testing, and performing EKGs.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support care delivery and ensuring adherence to policies.
- Assessing and treating COVID-related cases, including obtaining clinical samples, performing point-of-care testing, obtaining blood for antibody tests, managing symptoms, and providing recommendations.
- Completing thorough clinical charting, including detailed history of present illness, physical exams, differential diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Coordinating additional care with Care Coordination and house calls teams or Medical Partners, and contributing to operational projects as needed.
- Ensuring a comprehensive transfer of responsibility for pending labs or imaging to in-clinic providers at the end of each shift.
- Performing related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required.
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in Florida, required.
- DEA license required upon hire.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire.
- House call, EMS/pre-hospital, concierge experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers, preferred 2-3 years.
- DEA license required.

- Strong clinical skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in using systems like Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce, and Humanity.
- Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and medication administration.
- Able to adapt and work in a fluid, multitasking environment.
- Strong process and organizational skills.
- The ability to problem-solve and think creatively.
- Comfortable interfacing with high-end clientele.
