About the role

The City of Los Angeles seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the LAPD correctional care facilities. This role involves obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing medical conditions, providing medical care and treatment, and performing related duties.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Current license and Furnishing Number as a Nurse Practitioner in family practice, adult, or emergency medicine
  • Current, valid American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card

Pay

The annual salary is $135,260 to $197,796, with a 5.5% bonus upon proof of certification by a recognized national professional organization in a relevant specialty. A 8.25% night shift differential bonus applies for night work.

Schedule

Initial appointments are anticipated to be made on a part-time basis. Positions may be assigned to rotating 12-hour and 8-hour shifts and may work in any of the three jail clinics or Medical Services Division Occupational Health clinic.
