About the role

RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This is primarily a night CVICU role with some night floor coverage responsibilities, requiring a high level of autonomy and skill. The role includes rotational nights on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level autonomous care in a night CVICU and floor coverage setting
• Manage a large volume of acute patient population with effective time management and critical care skills
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
• Make autonomous treatment decisions and advance patient care
• Utilize Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) as preferred
• Work to the full extent of licensure

Requirements

• Graduate from an NP program with certification in Acute Care or Adult, with previous critical care experience
• Physician Assistants must have graduated from an accredited PA program
• Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care experience
• Current NJ APN/PA license
• NCCPA certification (for PAs)
• Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification
• DEA certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pay

Anticipated annual salary range: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
