About the role

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at the Heart Valve Clinic_HVI is responsible for managing patient care, rounding on inpatients, and performing complex diagnostics in specialized acute care settings such as critical care, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, and pediatrics. This position requires a master’s or doctoral degree and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

• Demonstrates skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing

• Shows knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations

Requirements

• Advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing (Masters Degree preferred)
• Approved APRN board certification (certified by a recognized national certifying body)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of state, federal, and local health care agencies and programs
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Nurse authorized by Florida to practice
• Medicare number in the State of Florida prior to 1/1/03 (or Master's Degree in nursing)
