Adult School Crossing Guard - Part Time - $17 per hour

Position Summary

The City is in need of Adult School Crossing Guards for this school year. Work only mornings or afternoons, if you choose. Serve your community! $17 per crossing first year; $18 per crossing second year.

Essential Functions

• Ensures the safe crossing of students at specific school crossing locations following established guidelines.
• Demonstrates the use of sound judgment.
• Communicates clearly, effectively and professionally with students, parents, school personnel, Oakland County Sheriff and City staff, and others.
• Follows safe work standards and practices.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to safely perform the duties of an Adult School Crossing Guard.
• Acceptable criminal history record.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

• Physical Demands/Work Environment: The work requires periods of standing and walking while carrying and lifting objects. Work is performed outside in all types of weather.
• Policy: The City of Rochester Hills hires qualified individuals with limiting conditions in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
