About the role

Adult Psychiatrist responsible for inpatient psychiatric care and call coverage at a Behavioral Medicine Center.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient rounds and manage acute psychiatric cases, independently or with residents/nurse practitioners.
• Respond to psychiatric cases and provide on-call coverage.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervise or consult with residents and nurse practitioners as needed.

Qualifications and skills

• Board Eligible or Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings is preferred.

Schedule

The position involves onsite weekend inpatient rounding and may have flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.

Additional information

Candidates should be comfortable working with residents, students, and other healthcare professionals. Residency in California is required; this role is not eligible for a Conrad 30 waiver.
