Omni Barton Creek in Austin, Texas, is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing their knowledge of racquets club operations. As an associate of Troon, Cliff Drysdale & Peter Burwash International Tennis, you will be part of a global leader in racquet sports management. This is an exempt, salaried position.
Responsibilities
- Enforce all club and corporate policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain excellent service to achieve member/guest satisfaction.
- Meet financial goals of the Adult Tennis Department.
- Create marketing requests for all upcoming events for Adult Tennis Programs and Events.
- Develop and conduct play options, tournaments, and leagues.
- Create and execute a marketing plan including social media, email blasts, and internal flyers.
- Ensure proper charging of fees for lessons, programming, and events.
- Initiate, direct, and promote tennis clinics, special events, and programs to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests.
- Respond to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Provide beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
- Implement and develop lesson programs for adults and lead Racquets Staff.
- Inspect courts/facilities daily to ensure safety and report maintenance issues.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of racquet sports merchandise to inform consumers.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Facility General Manager/Owner and non-tennis facility staff.
- Attend facility management meetings.
- Maintain a work schedule of 70% on-court teaching/supervising and 30% administrative hours.
- Develop a curriculum and pathway for all adult programs.
- Work alongside the Racquets Director and Club General Manager to assist in membership growth and experience.
- Meet financial goals for Adult Programming, Adult League, and Adult Events.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Club General Manager, Director of Racquets, Director of Pickleball, Fitness Director, Junior Director, and Proshop Manager.
- Assist the Director of Racquets in training pro staff.
- Create marketing requests with CDT HQ for upcoming Adult Programming, Events, and Leagues.
- Advertise Adult Programs in the community and cross-promote amongst departments.
- Assume all Director of Racquets responsibilities in their absence, alongside the Club Manager.
- Educate pro shop staff about programs and equipment alongside the Director.
- Work with the Director and Club Manager to grow the club’s presence, experience, and overall standard.
Requirements
- Complete USTA SafePlay Certification prior to position start.
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally sits.
- Regularly lifts 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions; noise level is moderate.
