Member Duties

  • Provide support for adult education activities such as reading, math, and language classes below the 9th grade level.
  • Offer computer assisted learning sessions in the Computer Lab, including technology and content support.
  • Prepare and lead GED preparation classes in Reasoning Through Language, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
  • Facilitate Adult Life Skills Workshops covering topics like Financial Literacy, Health Literacy, Digital Literacy, Family, and Career Development.
  • Help students with homework and offer individual coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage student registration and orientation, including pre and post-testing.
  • Adapt or develop curriculum to meet student interests and goals.
  • Record attendance and track student outcomes using the LACES tracking system.
  • Engage in community outreach to recruit students and volunteers.
