Adult Education Instructor (part-time)

Duties

Teach adult education courses.

Responsibilities include:

• Academic skills assessment
• Contextualized lesson planning
• GED/Workforce Readiness classroom instruction
• Assisting students in developing career pathways

Responsibilities

Assist students from the point of inquiry to credential completion.

• Help students prepare and study for the GED exam
• Assist students with barriers that may affect GED success/retention
• Ensure that all necessary documents and forms are completed accurately and promptly

Qualifications

Additional factors that may be considered include:

• Work experience in a higher education setting or counseling or academic coaching
• Work experience assessing the skills, needs, and interests of adult learners
