Job Title
Adult Detention Officer
About the role
Responsible for supervising and managing adult detention facilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage adult detention facilities
- Ensure safety and security of detainees
- Handle inmate complaints and grievances
- Conduct daily rounds and patrols
- Manage inmate population and schedules
- Communicate with law enforcement and other agencies as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of experience in corrections or related field
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical ability to perform duties in a detention facility
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to corrections
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in computer systems and software
