Adult/Adolescent Therapist

About the role

The Andrews Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Therapist to join our team. In this role, you'll walk alongside adults and adolescents living with mental health and substance use challenges, identifying goals for growth and development, and helping them move towards those goals!

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one and in groups, providing psychotherapy and psychoeducation services to support recovery and life goals
• Screen prospective clients seeking services, determining eligibility for services
• Complete intake assessments, gathering psychosocial histories and determining/rendering diagnoses
• Collaborate with a network of service providers
• Aid clients in identifying their goals for a better life, and create individualized treatment plans geared towards those goals
• Provide a cognitive-behavioral-based framework for treatment, while maintaining a person-first perspective about the clients served

Requirements

• Master's degree in a Behavioral Science field (required)
• Two (2)+ years of post-degree experience in professional mental health services, including working with serious mental illnesses
• Appropriate state licenses required (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
