ADON - Infection Preventionist/Staff Educator (RN)
We are a mission-driven long-term care / skilled nursing community in Philadelphia seeking an RN Infection Preventionist / Staff Educator. This role leads the infection prevention program and owns staff development, orientation, and in-services to support high-quality resident care.
About the role
Lead and maintain the facility’s Infection Prevention & Control Program. Monitor and educate staff on isolation precautions, universal precautions, aseptic technique, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and communicate infection data summaries (monthly/quarterly) and support quality initiatives (QAPI). Plan and deliver new hire orientation, annual mandatory training, and targeted in-services across departments. Track and coordinate CPR/AED training and clinical competencies (RN/LPN/CNA). Partner with Nursing Leadership, HR, and department leaders to roll out policy/procedure changes. May function as charge nurse occasionally based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (good standing)
- Infection Preventionist certification through the CDC (required)
- Long-term care experience with staff education/staff development and infection control
- LTC/Skilled Nursing experience + strong nurse educator mindset
- Experience with PointClickCare and Relias (training) (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and staff coaching skills

$93,000 - $99,000 / year
Schedule
Monday–Friday, Days (occasional off-shift education)
