Adolescent Mental Health Nurse - RN

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse at Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent Campus coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. They collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

• Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests.
• Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
• Serves as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse (DL) Driver License.
• Associate Degree.
