Description

The Adolescent Care Center Attendant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Williams County Adolescent Care Center. Regular job duties include monitoring residents, conducting security checks, general housekeeping duties, and maintaining documentation.

  • Maintains the safety of the Adolescent Care Center facility and residents, including routine security checks and searches
  • Monitors for suicidal or combative residents and provides crisis intervention as required
  • Completes accurate daily activity logs and records regarding resident behavior, actions, medications, and activities
  • Covers meals, laundry, and medication administration for residents
  • Organizes and participates in daily recreation activities geared towards residents
  • Schedules, assigns, and/or performs general housekeeping duties and supervises chores assigned to residents
  • Administers disciplinary action to residents as established by policy
  • Transports residents to court and other appointments as assigned
  • Attends required trainings, such as First Aid, CPR, and Mental Health First Aid
  • Liaises with law enforcement, caseworkers, court personnel, medical providers, schools, parents, and outside agencies regarding resident matters
  • Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and regulations governing the delivery of services to at-risk youth and assists staff in monitoring for compliance
  • Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code

Typical Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 21 years old
  • A valid North Dakota Driver’s License or equivalent
  • Passes a thorough background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

  • Compensation: Pay rate starts at $22.44/hour and is based on qualifications and experience.

Coverage may include single, single-plus-dependent or family coverage on any voluntary supplemental insurance provided by the designated Williams County supplemental insurance provider. Williams County pays the premium for a $25,000 term life insurance policy and $25,000 accidental death and dismemberment policy for full-time employees. Williams County pays the premium for a Long Term Disability Insurance plan for full-time employees. Employees who are at least 18 years of age and are working in a qualified position an average of 20 hours per week for five or more months of the year are required to participate in the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (ND PERS) Retirement Plan. Membership will become effective immediately upon employment.
