Schneider Electric’s Digital Grid Division is seeking a motivated ADMS Sales Engineer to demonstrate the Operational aspects of our Advanced Distribution Management Solution (ADMS) to electric utilities across North America. This role works closely with the sales team to identify and close profitable new business while managing presales Virtual Machines (VMs) and software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present in-person and online demonstrations of ADMS software, occasionally to large audiences.
- Support in-person conferences and software demonstrations.
- Prepare and configure ADMS scenarios and VMs based on demonstration requirements.
- Promote the Schneider Electric ADMS solution to utilities and business partners.
- Collaborate with the account management team and external partners.
- Work with the product development team to review product functionality and direction.
- Travel within the U.S. and internationally (typically up to 25%, with occasional extended travel on short notice).
Requirements
- 5+ years as an electric utility dispatcher/operator using Outage Management Solution (OMS) software or equivalent Sales Engineer experience.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
- Technical fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial RDBMS such as SQL Server.
- Control Center Operator Certification (NERC, Novell, etc.).
- Experience with Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
- Experience with SCADA Solutions.
- IT experience with systems like Hyper-V.
- Technical fluency in a second language (e.g., Serbian, Spanish, French, Portuguese).
- Experience with GIS solutions.
Pay
Expected compensation range: $125,000 – $140,000 per year, including base pay and quarterly commission. Individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
