This co-op opportunity allows you to learn and contribute to maintaining and enhancing our Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), which supports critical operations through a diverse technology portfolio including:
- Virtual VxRail Linux and Windows Servers
- Multiple Database technologies (Oracle, Sql Server, Cassandra)
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Mulesoft Enterprise Service Bus
- Splunk SIEM
- Dynatrace Application Monitoring
- GIS Mapping of electrical components in ERSI-based map systems
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and user support to system operators, division office workers, division engineering, and information technology personnel.
- Deliver training and create documentation as needed or requested.
- Aggregate and model data to assist in the creation of reports and dashboards using BI tools (PowerBI, SSRS, OBIEE).
- Analyze, recommend, design, plan, test, implement, and support ADMS.
- Perform system/data analysis, design software enhancements, test system functionality, and maintain application configuration settings for ADMS applications.
- Enable smart grid applications including SCADA, Power Flow, Fault Locating, Switching, and Outage Management.
- Conduct root cause analysis, develop action plans, and prioritize backlogs (identifying short- and long-term solutions); may lead implementation of plans.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a computer-related field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Available Spring Co-op opportunity: January – August.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $30.00 per hour, determined by factors including skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
