Admitting Manager

Schedule: Full‑time – Days

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction, and administration in all aspects of the Admitting department, including registration functions across the hospital.
• Oversees the information desk, financial counseling, cashier processes, insurance verification, hospital mail processes, and the PBX area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required for all new hires effective 4/1/14).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Accounting (preferred).
• Three to five years experience as a supervisor/manager in Admitting areas of an acute‑care facility (preferred).

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Understanding of third‑party payer principles, terms, and COBRA laws.
• Strong organizational skills for effective communication with patients, physicians, public, staff, and administration.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize to meet timelines.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $62,400 to $90,376 annually. Exact starting compensation will be determined at hire based on skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
