About the role

The Admission Representative is responsible for registering patients in a manner that promotes positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital departments. This role ensures quality performance by gathering and entering accurate and complete information for billing and collection processes critical for reimbursement. The Representative assists patients in understanding forms to be signed, their patient rights, and informs patients of hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Prefer previous employment in hospital/medical or insurance industry with 1-2 years of experience
• Type 40 words per minute
• Experience with computer terminal or personal computer
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations (helpful)
• Ability to provide service to customers in a professional and courteous manner
