Admissions Support Associate (intermediate to senior)
About the role
The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking an Admissions Support Associate to join our Admissions team and help guide prospective students through the admissions process. ICE is one of America’s leading centers for culinary education and the largest culinary school in New York City and Los Angeles. We are passionate about helping students of all ages and backgrounds pursue their culinary career dreams. We’re looking for an Admissions Support Associate who is passionate about the world of food and is excited to contribute to our growing organization.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Support admissions representatives and work with applicants to acquire and validate enrollment documents.
- Review files to assure regulatory requirements are met.
- Respond to questions from applicants by phone and email.
- Process applications and enrollments; manage daily activities within admissions support.
- Serve as the school’s forward facing customer service representative
- Serve as a regular weekend campus point person for operations, including monitoring campus activity, recreational classes, and overall student/guest experience.
- Communicate and escalate campus concerns appropriately, including facilities, student, guest, instructor, or class-related issues.
Experiential and Educational Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent, related work experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a fast-paced, team environment;
- Flexible schedule - able to work until 7PM when required including evening and regular weekend availability. This position requires Saturday and Sunday coverage as part of the department’s operating schedule.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal; strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working under deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Detail oriented, outgoing, able to multi-task, work hard and possess a drive to succeed.

Pay
PAY: $20.00-$25.00 Per Hour
Schedule
The position is full-time and requires flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts, including Saturday and Sunday coverage, according to the department schedule, which is set in advance.
