The Valley Health System is an integrated health network serving more than two million people in Southern Nevada. About the Role

Responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines. Plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare services delivery. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and equipped with the necessary experience and skills to handle the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register incoming patients and their representatives.
  • Accurately record and process admission information.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support operational efficiency in healthcare service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of patient admission processes.
  • Computer proficiency, including word processing and patient accounting systems.
  • HIPAA and PCI compliance required.
  • Insurance knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.
