ADMISSIONS REP/REGISTRAR (FULL TIME DAYS) PATIENT ACCESS

About the Role

The Valley Health System (VHS), with six hospitals in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, is seeking a Patient Access Representative. This role is responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines. The position plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare services delivery.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register incoming patients and their representatives.
• Ensure accurate recording and processing of admission information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Support operational efficiency in healthcare service delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care (preferred).
• Comprehensive understanding of patient admission processes.
• Computer proficiency, including word processing and patient accounting systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI compliance.
• Insurance knowledge (preferred).
