Admissions - Patient Registration Clerk FT 2nd Shift
About the role
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC," is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. Although small in size, CRMC offers a wide range of services and a friendly, caring staff.
Job Duties
- Provide prompt and accurate service to promote high standards and quality
- Collect deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered charges as outlined by policy
- Answer incoming calls and visits regarding patient accounts; explains financial policies to patients
- Research account issues; correct and/or initiate correction of errors
- Initiate outgoing telephone contact with patients for payments and payment arrangements
- Absorb and/or transfer tasks related to registration and medical records
- Prepare standard registration/admission forms for patients
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
Job Requirements
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required
- 1 year experience in medical scheduling or medical office, preferred
