Job Description
The Admissions Officer serves as the primary liaison for prospective students, providing information about admission requirements, program offerings, and application procedures. Duties include disseminating essential information, working with the financial aid counselor and enrollment manager, maintaining knowledge of admission policies, chairing the Admission Committee, drafting policies, updating student databases, planning and executing recruitment events, processing paperwork, making initial recommendations, collaborating on process improvements, conducting campus tours, monitoring expenses, liaising with vendors, presenting financial reports, generating reports, and making independent admission decisions.
- Disseminate essential information to prospective and current students regarding admission policies, curriculum updates, and program offerings.
- Work closely with the financial aid counselor and enrollment manager to streamline administrative processes, ensuring efficient and timely processing of student paperwork.
- Maintain knowledge of admission policies and current curriculum and present them to prospective students.
- Chair the Admission Committee and provide committee with accurate applicant and readmission information.
- Draft admission and enrollment-related policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with institutional guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure that student records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for reference and reporting purposes.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment events, including information sessions, open houses, campus tours, and admitted student days including on evenings and weekends.
- Maintain and update student database with accurate and current information.
- Persistently partner with the Director of Student Services and Nursing Program Director to communicate necessary student information and provide updates.
- Process paperwork for accepted students, including enrollment forms, financial aid documents, and other necessary paperwork.
- Make initial recommendations regarding applicant qualifications and suitability for CNE programs.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to recommend improvements to the admission process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct campus tours for prospective students, showcasing the facilities and answering any questions they may have.
- Monitor and track expenses related to admission activities, including but not limited to recruitment events, marketing materials, and travel expenses.
- Ensure expenditures align with approved budget allocations and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to obtain quotes and negotiate contracts for services related to admission, such as advertising, printing, and event management.
- Present financial reports to relevant stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for budget optimization.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to admission trends, applicant demographics, and enrollment projections to inform strategic decision-making and recruitment efforts.
- Make independent admission decisions and recommendations based on the evaluation of application materials and alignment with institutional admission policies and enrollment goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Student Services, Business, or related field
- Three (3) years’ experience in higher education
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association

- Nursing program experience or admissions experience
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association
