About the role

South College is seeking highly motivated, self-starters with excellent communication skills to join the Department of Admissions for our Competency Based Education programs. This is an entry-level, full-time onsite position at our Parkside campus in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes students by actively participating in all steps of the enrollment process (required paperwork, qualifications, campus tours, financial aid, and obtaining schedules).
• Provides adequate and accurate information relative to the college and its programs.
• Assists students in selecting their programs of study based upon professional judgements, available test scores, high school, and/or college transcripts.
• Qualifies applicants for admission who meet the stated college admissions requirements.
• Utilizes good use of time by making all required phone calls, follow-ups, generating referrals, and other daily activities in pursuit of departmental objectives.
• Consistently performs the activities that support individual and overall team admissions processes by following policies and procedures.
• Ensures adherence to the approved annual departmental budget.
• Provides feedback to department managers on how to improve the overall quality and efficiency of the admissions department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
• Solid performance record in a Customer Service, Sales, or Relational service role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate competence in multi-tasking and telephone prospecting.
• Professional appearance.

Pay

Salary from $50,000 up depending on experience.
