About the role

Stella Maris, a recognized leader in skilled nursing care with a long history of compassionate service to residents of central Maryland, is seeking an Admissions Manager for its nursing home facility located on the beautiful campus in Timonium, MD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the admissions process from initial phone call or electronic referral to acceptance, transfer, and sign‑in.
• Lead problem‑solving efforts and remove barriers to admission.
• Ensure new referrals are addressed timely and processed efficiently within the admissions department to meet census goals.
• Manage the admissions staff and processes.
• Immediately evaluate referrals for admission and direct to the appropriate individual for assessment, consulting with Admissions Outreach Nurses, Director of Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Nursing Administration, or other clinicians as needed for all service lines.
• Enter all required information into the database accurately and completely, including patient demographics, email addresses, emergency contact information, insurance information, and more.
• Oversee weekly audit of contracts, consents, and addendums to ensure all are signed and uploaded (or completed with electronic signature) within 24‑48 hours of admission.
• Support the team in reaching and exceeding average monthly census goals established by the Director of Business Development and ensure consistent language is used based on availability/need.

Pay

Hourly rate range: $38.05 – $57.05.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid‑portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
